THE BEGINNING

It all started when Tusani Junior Dazzle (Rozee), a Rhodesian Ridggeback female, came to live in our house. Before she was born she had already been given a name by my daughters. Rozee is the first RR, earlier there were Boxers and Polish Hunting Dog. It took me a long time to choose a breed that would suit us. Together we decided that it will be Rhodesian. It was not easy to choose a breeder that would have a female available for us. After a few months, I found an ad that there was a litter in Slovakia. When she was 6 weeks old we visited her breeding. I met her siblings, mother, grandmother and other aunts. :-). Finally she came to live with us, the beginning was not easy, volcano of energy, she still wanted to play. She would steal things and force play to chase her, it was fun but sometimes annoying. Today she has become more serious and she is a beautiful elegant female dog. She accompanies us in everything, in the kitchen, watching TV, participating in remote learning. We go for walks around the neighborhood every day. She loves the company of other dogs especially the second RR. We like mountain trips, vacations at the seaside and bike trips.

THE BREEDING

Before we started breeding we examined Rozee under the supervision of our vet, to make sure that she was free of any serious diseases.

We are FCI registered breeding (The Polish Kennel Club).

Out of love for the breed, with small steps, we will slowly do our job. Our family’s life changed a lot when the first RR appeared, I strongly believe that there will be more and they will always stay with us.

HE SOCIALIZATION

Before we started the kennel we examined Rozee under the supervision of our vet, to make sure that she was free of any serious diseases. We were very concerned about the dog’s conformation, so we spent a lot of time socializing her from the very beginning. We started with doggie daycare and then completed several training courses under experienced trainers and behaviorists. Our dog lives with us and we share our house and garden with her. We attach great importance to socialization. We carry out socialization literally everywhere: on individual and group walks, in a car, in a restaurant, in an elevator, in stores e.g. hypermarkets, where you can enter with your dog. We organize meetings with already well socialized dogs to create positive experiences.

We familiarize with vacuum cleaner, mixer, umbrella, lawn mower, rake, shovel. Working in the garden arouses a lot of excitement, especially digging or raking 🙂
We pay special attention to water and different surfaces (tiles, sand, grass, puddles, sidewalk).
Also important are meetings with differently dressed people (in uniform, with a hoodie, a cyclist with a helmet). Children of different ages are a very important part of socialization, accompanying from the beginning so that the dog has a positive attitude in the future.
We familiarize them with our emotions with crying, laughing, screaming, loud voice and with our daily rhythm and rush in everyday life. We believe that good socialization is the most important part of raising dogs so that they are not shy and timid.
This is the only way to ensure that they are able to handle stressful situations, which will allow them to grow up to be great mentally balanced dogs.

Out of love for the breed, with small steps, we will slowly do our job. Our family’s life changed a lot when the first RR appeared, I strongly believe that there will be others and they will always stay with us.

THE BART DIET

Since the beginning Rozee is on the BARF diet. The diet consists of raw meat, meat bones, giblets, eggs, oils such as wild salmon, vegetables and fruits. In addition, we give Pokusa RawDietLine supplements:

– hemoglobin,
– algae,
– brewer’s yeast,
– rosehip,
– purge.

With the BARF diet it is important to regularly test the blood, whether there are no deficiencies, caused by unbalanced nutrition .
